Any mega Blondie fans out there...? Might be worth taking a closer look at this one>>> On the face of it a standard copy....but there are a couple of things which take it beyond a standard copy.
A 1st press of PL on UK Chrysalis. Matrix A4/B3. I've handled many copies of this title - hell, there are plenty of them out there! BUT this example is a bit different from the typical copy that usually surfaces. It was a big hit - they made massive numbers - but the record company started skimping on print quality and pressing weight quite quickly after it hit the top of the charts. This example exudes quality - quality that just isn't there on 90% of the early copies. Firstly, there's the pressing weight. Usually it's wobbly board 100gram to 115gram...but this baby is weighing in at 135 grams. Now, I've never held one at that weight before...that is way cool. Secondly, we come to the print quality of the cover. Most of the copies I've ever dealt with feel a bit flimsy. This copy is printed on heavier card stock. It feels solid and has a nice boxy shape to it [maybe a wider spine?]. The finish is outstanding - most copies just do not look like this. Even the bespoke inner seems to be printed on higher grade paper. Likein' it! So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In super condition. If the vinyl weight wasn't enough to get your attention take a looky at the preservation on this copy. It has seen only very slight careful use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of slightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. NO Kidding - this copy is absolutely superb. I'm pretty sure I've never heard PL like this. A bit more depth to the audio and an extremely low noise floor. Is it the pressing weight that's helping? Possibly, maybe it's the low use, in addition, ... but basically it is a show stopper copy. Even in the really lowkey moments total silence behind the audio. Those 'drum beats' at the start of Fadeaway.... with perfect silence. Nope....never heard it like that! Can't fault it. This copy exudes class from start to finish. If you're looking for a defining all-time show stopper...take a close look a this one. It would be worth the extra investment. FINAL UPGRADE.
Cover (Ex) Absolute gem. First thing you notice is how flat the cover is and the surface shine. Then you can see the box shape is perfectly preserved without compression. Wowzer...like it! No sign of fading or surface wear or marking. Not absolutely perfect, but as close as you will find. Hardly any edge  wear and sharp firm openings. Four pointy corners. Spine 100% perfectly perfect...truly outstanding.
Inner (Ex/Ex+) Almost perfect. No sign of ageing or foxing. Smooth and very tidy. Pointy corners. No splits!
