All-time classic UK original LP featuring the cream of the crop of British jazz men, incl. Ian Carr on flugelhorn, Daryl Runswick on bass, & a certain Mr Harold McNair on flute and tenor sax; all accompanied vary ably on piano and vocals by the lovely Ms Blossom herself. The track that’s resulted in this rarity being such hot property from Soho to Shibuya is, of course, the drum-heavy club-funk monster, ‘I like London in the rain, though in truth the whole album’s sublime and oozes quality from start to finish. A record that’s just impossible to turn up nowadays, especially in such beautiful condition – this one looks like it’s never been played!
