- Particulars: Original first printing, vintage concert poster. “A Tribute to J. Edgar Hoover.” Printed by the Bindweed Press, one of the original printers of the rock and roll poster scene. Dimensions are approx. 14 X 20.
When there debut album, Vincebus Eruptum, debuted in 1968, Blue Cheer were known as a “power trio.” It was actually the start of what we now know as Heavy Metal. Blue Cheer are arguably the first heavy metal band, combining fast riffs, crackling overdrive, and monster drums to create a sound, that was back then, both loud and exciting. Of course now Heavy Metal is a common style among musicians, but in all respect, Blue Cheer laid the stepping-stones down for a new musical genre.
