Description

Up for bid is a beautiful copy of a rare Jazz LP, Blue Mitchell's "Blue's Moods" released on Riverside, RLP 9336.  This is an original Microgroove, Stereophonic pressing of the album featuring the black and silver Riverside labels with the tape machine logo on top.  Also featured on the recording are Wynton Kelly on piano, Sam Jones on bass and Roy Brooks on drums.  This album was recorded in New York City between August 24 and 25, 1960.

The jacket for this set is a bit rough around the edges, but the LP is in near pristine condition, solidly and conservatively VG++, perhaps NM- to some collectors.  The LP has been play-graded on a quality turntable and was found to have little to no surface noise at all, with crisp playback throughout the album.  There are no visible marks on the LP and the labels are nice and clean, with no spindle wear.  As stated, the jacket has seen better days.  Practically the entire top seam is split and and the bottom seam and spine are not far behind.  The jacket does, however, remain in one piece and, miraculously, shows practically no sign of ring wear on the front or back.  Given the edge wear, the corners also remain remarkably intact.  Don's miss out on your chance to get a really fantastic copy of this rare gem of an album.

As always, the LP is shipped in a poly-lined paper sleeve outside of the jacket, all housed in a polymer sleeve to prevent any damage during shipment.  All records are shipped in sturdy, cardboard record mailers with reinforcement to protect them in transit.
