BLUE NOTE BLP5040   MILES DAVIS QUARTET   'Volume 3'

This is an early, collectable 10"LP, by this famous trumpeter. The group is compleled by Horace Silver (p), Percy Heath (b) and Art Blakey (d). This is a USA pressing with a deep groove blue/white label with 161 Lexington Ave. NYC address. There is an 'ear' in the run-off area both sides.

DESCRIPTION/CONDITION : The disc is E- (VG), with some light scratches and some general groove wear, visible under a bright 'grading' light. There are also a few slightly heavier looking scuffs. These have some affect on the playing. The cover is also E- (VG), with seam splits in the middle of the bottom and down the spine. Clear tape has been applied to the bottom seam. There is also some edge/surface rubbing. A small hole is visible through the front of the cover only in the top left hand quarter (see photo). Towards the bottom of the right hand side there is a small (2cm) slightly, jagged, horizontal tear. There is some dirt/staining visible on the back (originally white) surface.
