Blue Note Records 4109 (mono) (made in USA) - Herbie Hancock - Takin' Off LP. This is a first pressing from 1962. "Van Gelder" and "the ear" are stamped/etched in the dead wax. The address on the labels is "Blue Note Records Inc New York YC". The address on the back cover is "Blue Note Records Inc., 43 West 61st St., New York 23, N.Y."
Personnel: Herbie Hancock, piano; Freddie Hubbard, trumpet; Dexter Gordon, tenor sax; Butch Warren, bass; Billy Higgins, drums.
The condition of the record is excellent VG+, there are light scratches on both sides, plays beautifully without skips or pops. There is a sticker on the side twoi label. The cover is in VG+ condition, no seam or spine splits. Includes original issue custom Blue Note label paper inner sleeve.
