This is part of a large auction of blues, R&B and a few rock n' roll 10" 78's. Almost all of these came from the collection of a 1950's Yale radio DJ. Across the board, they have been played very little.

Release: Walter (Cowboy Washington - Ice Pick Mama / West Dallas Woman

Format: 78 rpm 10" shallac record

Year: 1937

Notes: Yellow label first press. Was recorded in February 1937 at a hotel in San Antonio. Andy Boy is credited as the piano player. Bluebird was a blues/R&B offshoot of RCA. 

Record Condition: E, The record plays very well with nice sound. Has some light surface noise but nothing overpowering. Has some light surface marks, but nothing major and nothing too noticeable. Label is very clean as well, no marks, tears or obvious spindle marks. A really nice condition copy for a record this old.

All records I sell have been personally cleaned and play tested. I am an experienced grader and use the VJM grading system, but please see pictures as so much of this is subjective. These will be shipped in sleeves in a cardboard sandwich in a box for maximum protection.
