Boogie Woogie Woman / Hollow Log Blues = V / V-

Side A - Very Good condition, medium wear and surface noise, Side B – more wear than side a, there are three spots on Hollow Log where the needle stuck and repeated, I was able to remedy two of the spots by adding 2 grams of weight to the tone-arm shell using a Shure 44 stylus (3 mil) and a Stanton turntable, on the final transfer I was able to get the entire performance to play all the way through with an Ortophon stylus (2.5) and a Dual turntable using anti-skate, side a – Tommy McClennan is heard both singing and talking on Boogie Woogie Woman, this is the only recording where the boys from Yazoo City can be heard sharing the vocal choruses, Chicago, 1942

I have been collecting & playing traditional blues for over 35 years. Many of the records offered for sale have been in my collection for some time. Records are graded visually and confirmed by playing. I grade 78s conservatively using the VJM scale. This means records graded N- are nearly spotless and records graded G, although considerably worn, still play with music being slightly dominant to surface noise. Specific flaws will be noted along with the grade.
