Description
An original 1st stereo press of BBs on the UK Decca label from 1969. Please note that stereo 1st pressing was in 1969, the 1st release was in 1966 in mono. Matrix 1W/1W - very 1st cut. Stampers 1-BK/1-BI. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original stereo Celanese cover with pinched spine. Also included is an original Decca inner sleeve from 1969. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex+) One word..Wow! This is one super low mileage copy and doesn't look far off new. Under close inspection I struggled to make out a single mark. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT+ without reservation. Now, don't underestimate this grading...we almost never use this grading level on a vintage record...they just hardly ever surface. Absolute top-level performer in every way...Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Most certainly the best copy I've witnessed and, I'd stress, one of the best original Decca pressings I've ever heard - period! the clarity levels are astonishing and there's to a whiff of interference at all. I'll do my usual catch-all...you may detect a couple of isolated crackles per side...but this is as good a copy as it is humanly possible to find. FINAL UPGRADE.
Cover (Vg+) In great shape and has clearly been looked after down the years. Lovely clean shiny front with barely a crease! The rear has survived the worst of the ageing process - just a bit noticeable along the top and bottom edges. Otherwise in very nice condition with no writing or creasing. Edge wear is very light for this title and the openings are still sharp. The spine is 100% intact and overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) No splits. Light ageing. One or two creases.
