THE STORIES FROM FIELD RECORDINGS TOLD WITH SONG IN THIS RARE LP ARE SO TELLING OF THE TIMES THAT WE DREAD TO RECALL THEM. TOLD WITH A STUNNINGLY MATTER-OF-FACT DEMEANOR THAT ONE CAN HARDLY BELIEVE WE ARE LISTENING TO HUMANS THAT WITNESSED SUCH THINGS AS HANGINGS FOR SUCH MINOR REASONS. THE STORY TELLERS HAVE BECOME SO OVER-STIMULATED WITH THE REGULARITY OF ATROCITIES THAT EMOTION HAS ALL BUT BEEN REMOVED FROM THEIR RECOUNTS. THEY COULDN'T SPEAK THEIR MINDS - SO THEY SANG IT, BUT AS STORY TELLERS, LIKE RUSTIC JOURNALISTS, TELLING IT LIKE IT WAS, WITH WHAT WAS LEFT OF A MATURED INNOCENCE.
I've posted multiple pics with ZOOM features to offer forthright representation of RARE JOURNALISTIC NARRATIVE OF MAN'S ABUSE OF HIS FELLOW MAN.
The labels appear somewhat fresh, considering their 50 some years of age. It's laminate cover still carries a shine, albeit aged with wear at the usual places - along edges and corners. The once white back has become soiled and spotted with age. It has left it's mark on me upon hearing it, and I left a few marks on it as I scurried to abruptly remove vinyl from player to prevent someone from hearing its disheartening narrative. Other background sounds may be a product of actual rustic recording, which may be a result of the equipment back then. Thus, you get this RARE piece that others sell for $90 or more, starting at ONLY $ 29.99 - don't deny yourself this "campfire" style storytelling of our past's dark night, complete with a bit of crackling and popping from the vinyl - as if you were sharing marshmellos while sharing memories on a cottonfield. Make sure only scarecrows are listening in the background, least you offend young drums, that is, EAR drums.
