Description

The Big Soul of John Lee Hooker on Vee Jay 1058.  Original stereo copy still in the shrink wrap.  Vinyl is very pretty, full shine, looks like it has seen very little play.  Side 1 would be M- but for a 3/4" inch scratch across parts of Tracks 2 & 3.  It does make a ticking sound.  Side 2 has one fingernail scuff that does not affect play, and some hazy patches on the vinyl from the original pressing process.  These are in the last two tracks and the runout wax, and they have no impact on the sound.  Deep-groove label has two very small tears on Side 2 near the Vee Jay logo, visible in the photo.  Record plays great, very hard to find in this condition.  Cover is super clean in original shrink wrap, name written on the back.

GRADING
M-  A flawless or nearly flawless record that appears to have seen little or no play.
VG+  Full gloss, a few light marks.  A very, very attractive record that has seen limited play and has been well cared for.
VG   More marks and scratches, but still a nice record.  Scratches may be fairly numerous, but will be light.
VG-  Lots of marks and scratches but no gouges or major problems.  Not a beautiful record, but still serviceable, not junk.
