Blues LP: SLIM HARPO on Excello 8003 original  

 

 

Original copy of Slim Harpo's first LP, released on the Excello label in 1961. An essential swamp blues album! Songs: Raining In My Heart, Blues Hangover, Bobby-Sox Baby, I Got Love If You Want It, Snoopin' Around, Buzz Me Baby, I'm A King Bee, What A Dream, Don't Start Crying, Moody Blues, My Home Is A Prison, Dream Girl.

Condition cover:
VG- with tape residue, half split top seam en completely split spine, corner bumps, small stickers and writing on the back cover. See the scans below.

Condition LP:
Nice VG to VG+, very light imperfections only and the record plays strong. The LP is pressed a bit off centre but it doesn't seem to be out of tune anywhere. You can check the sound quality below - I recorded full versions of the first and the last song of side one, so you can get a good impression.

You'll hear recordings from the actual record with no alterations or anything, it has been recorded from my hifi set (Dual CS750 and NAD 3240) straight into the computer.

Allmost all items that I'm selling come from my personal collection. I have been collecting records since the late 70s and I decided to simplify my life by selling stuff that I don't care about enough to keep it. Music needs to be listened to, not to be collected like stamps!
