On offer; a very rare first UK issue of 'Blues in the Mississippi Night' - A collection of field recordings by Alan Lomax and featuring Memphis Slim, Sonny Boy and Big Bill Broonzy. A interesting authentic and raw selection of spoken word and blues recordings. Issued on the Black Nixa label this copy comes with the rare folded card insert. The cover and insert are very nice, the vinyl though looks seldom played has scuffs and marks, would definitely benefit from a clean. Overall this is a reasonable copy of a rare LP with a nice condition cover and very rare insert. (See pics)
The thin fully laminated flip-back sleeve is in nice glossy condition, there is a small tear middle of the opening edge and light corner wear. The reverse is clean with general ageing and original price sticker. The thin spine is clean with clear text. No heavy creases, splits or writing - EX-.
The vinyl is a little dull looking and has several scuffs and light scratches would certainly benefit from a clean as it has been in storage for decades - VG (maybe better after a clean, these recordings are pretty raw anyway).
The labels are very clean - EX.
