It was all the way back in 2015 that my dad bought me my very first record for Christmas.

Or to be more exact, my very first box of records, and when I say box, I really mean ‘DJ case so heavy I could barely carry it’.

That was it.

The artwork, the sound, the feeling of discovery as I picked my way through that box made me fall in love with vinyl. Atlas Records was born and 200,000 records later, that very same case still sits in the office and that very same feeling still drives me.

Only it’s not just me anymore. We have a team of passionate staff ensuring everything runs smoothly, but that love for vinyl still runs through everything we do here.

It’s this team that scours the country looking for the best music to bring to our shelves, handling each one with care on its every step towards its new home.

That’s our story, but whether it’s last kisses or first dances, every record also has a story to tell, and we’re determined to help tell it.

For such a delicate cargo, only the best and most sturdy packaging will do, which is why we've scoured the country searching for the perfect selection of packaging materials that can do just that. Every. Single. Time.

All records are sent in our super-strong, market-leading mailers which are made with card from responsible sources. Their easy-open tear strips make unwrapping simple, so there's no need to risk damaging your record as you fight your way into the envelope. On top of that, records fit snugly, minimising the danger of scuffed corners, and the unparalleled strength ensures that they days of opening up a record damaged thanks to carelessness in the postal system are well and truly over.

They're guaranteed to be 100% recyclable and forest friendly. Good for the environment. Great for you.

Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

Excellent : The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening of sound quality.The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc.
