Up for auction is 'Aquarius' by 'Boards Of Canada'; this is an original vinyl EP and not an illegal copy or bootleg.
This is the original black vinyl 7" pressing on 'Skam' from 1998, LONG out of print (OOP) and is reputed to be a very clean pressing with minimal surface noise. Limited to 500 copies, this early example of BoC's released work is one of the most sought-after and collectable electronic music 7" out there right now. Also included is the original paper colour-in insert which contains the vintage BoC esotericism we've all come to expect from the boys. It has not been coloured in of course and is in perfect condition.

The version of 'Aquarius' on this EP has a rawer, less refined sound to it than later versions of the same track. This version of the track could easily be termed a demo version which certainly makes it of interest to collectors; however, the real reason why this EP is so sought-after is the B side track 'Chinook' which is totally exclusive to this EP. As far as BoC tracks are concerned, 'Chinook' is a fast and violent track with thrashy percussion and a dark, brooding bassline; really unlike anything they're released before or after.
