Description

There are records that don't just play — they pull you somewhere else entirely. Boards of Canada have spent three decades building that gravity: faded synths, warped samples, rhythms that feel like they're running slightly out of time. With Inferno, their first album since Tomorrow's Harvest (2013), BOC push further into the dark. The title says it plainly. Rhythms that grow heavier, voices layered to unsettle, a world seen through a clouded prism — and something like madness floating just beneath the surface.
This is the Japanese pressing of Inferno, released in 2026 on Warp Records (WARPLP496XBR). Pressed on red translucent vinyl and packaged with an exclusive Japanese OBI strip featuring liner notes by J (Kenji Fujiwara), this edition was produced by music70 and Beatrec for the Japanese market only.
Factory sealed. Japanese import. Red translucent vinyl. 2LP. Includes exclusive Japanese OBI strip with full liner notes in Japanese. Made in EU. WARPLP496XBR. Includes Tower Records Japan exclusive A2 poster (rolled and packed together with the record in the same box) and Warp Records 2026 Campaign official sticker.
A landmark release for BOC collectors — the first new album in over a decade, available here in the rare Japanese OBI edition with color vinyl, A2 poster, and Warp Records official sticker. All items brand new and unused.
Condition: Brand new / factory sealed. Ships securely with protective packaging to prevent damage during transit. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

"The cult appeal of Boards of Canada (BOC) lies in an introspective sonic world — one that evokes the trembling of memory and time through faded synthesizers and warped samples. Often mentioned alongside Aphex Twin and Autechre, their music shares more in common with Cocteau Twins or Radiohead: pastoral, melancholic, gently undulating melodies that prioritize atmosphere and feeling over the conventions of dance music. Beginning with tape experiments in childhood, BOC forged their own singular style and completed their vision with Music Has The Right to Children (1998). Through Geogaddi (2002), The Campfire Headphase (2005), and Tomorrow's Harvest (2013), they arrive now at Inferno (2026) — a new horizon. Rhythms that deepen slowly into darkness. Layers of voice that unsettle and disturb. As though a world consumed by madness were being projected through a clouded prism."
