This is the original 1998 UK pressing of Boards of Canada's "Music Has the Right to Children" gatefold 2xLP on Warp Records/SKAM - catalogue number WARPLP55/SKALP1.  This is the original pressing purchased in May 1998 upon its release.  This original pressing is distiguishable from the later 2004 pressing in that it (1) has a clear SKAM Braille sticker affixed to the cover, and (2) the labels are a paler blue and bear both the SKAM and Warp logos - the later pressing only has the Warp logo.  This 1998 pressing also has the catalog numbers stamped into the record's matrix, they're not "etched."  Some may argue as to whether or not this is the duo's best album, but it's undeniably their most well-known and the one that put them on the map.  This album has been out of print on vinyl for pushing 10 years and this original pressing is even more sought after, so don't snooze!

The actual item that you will be bidding on is pictured.  The photos are not stock photos, nor were they "borrowed" from another auction or website.  The album is in EXCELLENT to NEAR MINT condition.  The sleeve has no notable bends or seam splits.  It does, however, have some storage wear on the bottom right corner that is visible on both the front and back of the gatefold sleeve.  I have included detailed images in the auction so that this is fully disclosed.  This flaw does not appear to distract much from the overall condition of the item.  If this wear were not present, I would grade the sleeve at a solid NEAR MINT.  Please take note of this corner wear before bidding, as I will not accept returns based on this specific aspect.  The records themselves, which have been kept in the original poly-lined inner sleeves, are NEAR MINT and show negigible wear from play.
