Description
The label is black with silver text, trumpet player logo, deep groove, original. Leader, Bob Brookmeyer, valve trombone; Jimmy Rowles, piano;Buddy Clark, bass; Mel Lewis, drums. 7 tracks recorded in LA in 1954. David Stone Martin cover art.
Cover: VG+ Intact and clean. Minor wear on the front cover. Slight aging on the back cover, slightly darker along the spine. Heavy cardboard jacket. Fine condition.
Record: VG + to VG++ Visually shows no wear. No markings on the vinyl surface. On Side A, Track 1, there is a tiny "skip" on part of 1 track after the piano solo towards the end of the Track. There is no visual flaw in the record. On Track 3 there is 1 click near the beginning of the Track and 1 revolution of light groove noise. The groove noise occurs again on the last revolution of the Track. On Side B, Track 2 has 1 click, mid Track and faint groove noise on 1 or 2 revolutions at the end of the Track. On Track 3 there is 1 click at the beginning of the Track and a 2nd click further along the Track. Also faint groove noise on 1 or 2 revolutions in 2 places followed by slight crackles for 1 revolution and groove noise for 2 or 3 revolutions at the end of the Track. Audibly checked
