Description

Offered from an estate collection is this rare original 1966 White Label Mono Radio Station Promotional copy of Bob Dylan's iconic Blonde on Blonde in good overall condition. This album is considered to be one of Dylan's finest and is one of the first double albums (possibly THE first) in rock and roll history. Shows the original timing strips on the reverse of the cover. Vinyl is in good, playable condition. There are some scratches and wear from age and use. White labels are clean. Cover shows edge wear and some rub wear and the timing strip label has some wrinkling issues to the top left where it was coming loose from the cover. Also written on the timing strip is the original owner's name -- Abby Rose. Missing its slip covers (typical of radio station copies). Inside cover shows the original Claudia Cardinale photograph, confirming it is a first pressing. The photo was later replaced by a photo of Dylan. A rare opportunity to own one of these hard-to-find white label radio promo copies, and just in time for the holidays, from newly minted Nobel Prize winner Bob Dylan when he was at the peak of his craft.
