Bob Dylan Blonde on Blonde in its original 1966 Columbia mono configuration, presented here with the red 360 Sound mono label that defines the first pressing era. This is the album that effectively invented the modern double LP rock record, with the famous out-of-focus Jerry Schatzberg cover portrait of Dylan in his brown coat and checked scarf. The gatefold interior with the black and white photo collage is intact and shows the iconic shots that have been part of the record's identity since release. Original mono copies of Blonde on Blonde, particularly with the early labels, continue to be sought by Dylan collectors and serious sixties listeners, and clean ones are getting genuinely scarce.

Blonde on Blonde was released in 1966, recorded primarily in Nashville with producer Bob Johnston and the city's session players, including Charlie McCoy, Kenneth Buttrey, Hargus Robbins, Jerry Kennedy, Joe South, Al Kooper, Wayne Moss, Henry Strzelecki, and Robbie Robertson on guitar. The full album track list carries Rainy Day Women No. 12 & 35, Pledging My Time, Visions of Johanna, One of Us Must Know, I Want You, Stuck Inside of Mobile with the Memphis Blues Again, Leopard-Skin Pill-Box Hat, Just Like a Woman, Most Likely You Go Your Way and I'll Go Mine, Temporary Like Achilles, Absolutely Sweet Marie, 4th Time Around, Obviously 5 Believers, and Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands. Considered by many the high-water mark of Dylan's mid-sixties run and a foundational document of American songwriting. The single disc included here carries only the tracks from Sides 1 and 2 of the set, not the complete album.

Record: Vinyl shows surface marks and play wear consistent with age. Labels are clean with no writing, no stickers, light age toning. Plays as a sixties mono pressing with the warmth and presence of an original Columbia 360 Sound disc. Graded visually in the Very Good range.

Cover: Outer gatefold jacket shows heavy honest wear consistent with a 1966 album that has been lived with for decades. Significant edge wear with paper loss and fraying along the top, bottom, and right edges of the front cover. Corner wear, surface scuffing, and laminate lift in places. The Schatzberg cover portrait remains fully readable. The gatefold interior with the photo collage is present and the images are clear, though the inner edges show wear consistent with the outer. Graded in the Fair to Good range overall, presenting honestly for its age. A reading copy jacket housing a single disc.
