Rare Early press with large STEREO logo arrows sticker on the front
cover, large 33 1/3 speed and AI / B1 / C1 / D1 matrix numbers
Superb copy of this classic 1966 double LP
The front laminated flipback cover is in excellent condition with a
great sheen to the laminate and has a few light creases.
It has the rare large STEREO arrows sticker on the front cover that
was only evident on early first copies.
The gatefold inside is clean with perfect flipbacks and the spine is
clear and legible.
The vinyls I will grade as VG+, they have a nice shine and a few scuffs and the odd mark.
I have played all 4 sides and the sound is near EX with the odd bit of light crackle.
The matt labels have the large 33 1/3 speed, not the smaller 33 1/3 in later copies.
( the very first copies of course had the large 33 so this is probably a transitional
copy before they used the mono covers with the gold stereo sticker and the small 33 1/3 )
The matrix numbers however are the first press A1 / B1 / C1 / D1.
Just try finding another A1/B1/C1/D1 with a large 33 1/3 !!!!!!!!!!
The labels are in superb condition,clean and unmarked.
The vinyl plays with a bit of very light crackle on the run in which soon quietens down
and I have honestly yet to find a copy that does'nt
The records are kept seperate from the sleeve in anti static poly lined sleeves
and the original orange CBS advertising inners are included.
Altogether a really nice copy of this rare early press.
Well cared for nearly 50 years old.
