On 04-Jun-11 at 18:36:46 BST, seller added the following information:Further to the above- sleeve is the laminated ‘flipback’ gatefold sleeve complete with original advertisement inners. The inners have some torn seams, which need to be taped, plus one small tear at opening edge. Re the sleeve, there is a small split in the spine’s centre. There are also some small crease marks in the lamination (around the edges) and two slight scuffs around the edge. Inside the sleeve is virtually perfect, with no writing/marks etc. Photos inside are nine in number (one of these being of Claudia Cardiale, the guys out there might like to know!). Labels are the CBS’ orange textured/matt issue. These show the text: “33” and “B. Feldman”. All the above ensures the LP is the 1966 UK 1st press.
I’ve rated the audio quality on all four sides as EX-, indicating no discernable deterioration in sound over the greater majority of the discs, just the very occasional crackle or pop and has very few signs of having been played- excepting one track that has some light crackle throughout and another where there is a small scratch making four quiet ‘clicks’. Although there are some small surface marks (caused by the LPs being taken out of their paper inners over the years), showing the odd small hairlines and wispy non-sounding paper scuffs, there are no jumps or dirty marks and the vinyl has a vibrant sheen. The record plays with fantastic mono blast and clarity, which IMO is especially important when hearing Dylan’s scathing harmonica riffs at their best! Music is truly crystal clear - It really does play with a CD-like near 100% black silence, but with that bass, clarity, depth and warmth you can only get from UK 1st Press vinyl- and even during the quiet sections.
Please note that this is the considerably rarer MONO version of this LP, as indicated by the cat no being CBS DDP 66012 (no ‘s’ before DDP)
