 Gold ‘Stereo' sticker on front, Catalogue number 66012 above CBS logo on front as well as on spine.

·        Inside gatefold 9 pics, Claudia Cardinale pictured on the inside cover - she was later removed.

·        Laminated outer sleeve, not flipback. B2: "Stuck In Mobile With Thee" on sleeve."

·        Label: No track timings provided. Bob Dylan" above "Blonde On Blonde" and 'Record 1' / 'Record 2' on the record labels.

·         Small "33 1/3" on labels.

·         Publishing credit: "B. Feldman" on all four labels. (CS 9316) on record 1 and (CS 9317) on record 2 labels.

 Dylan’s classic double album released in 1966 which remains in the top 100 best albums of all time and not difficult to see why. Using Nashville session musicians that gives it a slick studio polish that makes it sound totally unlike any of his other albums, with sparkling piano frills and a, what Rolling Stone Mag called a soulful shitkicker groove. It was also the first rock double album!

Sleeve: Laminated outer gatefold sleeve, flipback, inside 9 pics inc Claudia Cardinale (later removed). Best described as solid, no rips, splits  or writing, all images and text is sharp and fully readable, all edges straight and true, fully readable and proud (uncrushed) spine, light normal corner rub and creasing only, inside gatefold remains clean, solid VG+

Labels: CBS smooth, grooved Orange labels, "Made in England" clear of any unwanted writing, sticker residue, light spider lines graded VG+

Vinyl/audio: Visually all four sides have a glossy sheen and good groove distinction, pretty clean; closer inspection (under bright light) shows a few wispy feint lines and needle tracers
S1: visually has three clumsy scuffs which do not affect play, there is a small feelable scratch three-quarters through last track that causes 7-8 rotational pops, other than that plays through clean, graded VG.
S2 plays through with no problems, no pips, pops etc easily graded VG+
S3 plays through clean, no pips or pops, 2 visual scuffs which do not affect play so graded VG+
S4: plays through clean, no pips or pops graded VG++

Sounds worse than it is would grade overall as VG+ (played on a Project carbon - blue Ortofon)

Please note:  audio quality can differ from one pressing to another and unless you have two copies to compare it is sometimes difficult to know. Audio quality can also vary from one system to another and while I try to describe my audio experience it might not be the same as somebody elses.

I strictly adhere to the Record Collector Magazine's Grading Guide using one + or - for addition guidance:

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. 

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing. 

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. 

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
