Description
Inherited from a relative, along with other stuff I am currently selling. This is the very first release from 1966 according to most sources, as it has the very rare misprint. I will supply all the details below:-
This double album has:-
1) 'Memphis Blues Again' misprint on the Side 2 label (re-issues have this changed) 2) Fold-overs in the inside of the cover 3) Square CBS inners 4) Fully textured labels 5) 1/1/1/1 matrix's 6) Thicker box around the CBS logo on the labels 7) '33' label text 8) Blonde On Blonde is above Bob Dylan on the labels
I think that's all the information I have found out is worthy to mention - but if there is anything I missed - please see the pictures....
Grading:- Cover looks really nice. No rips and no tears. No writing. Some creasing, but the cover is still nice and flat. Laminate is still shiny with really mild record impressions under light. Slight corner wear. Edges are near perfect with no splits, etc. I can see some evidence of 'inking in' to the spine but its lovely and strong, and to me isnt a big deal (see pictures). Inside of the cover is super - with lovely fold overs. I will grade the cover Very Good, and a very decent cover it is too! The records are both really really nice - with both being very bright and shiny indeed and looking great! No grey grooves and these records have clearly been well looked after. I can only see a few light lines under light and both discs are jet black! Labels are really nice too - as pictured - with only a few spindles. Both records play well with some crackle here and there - but as this double album has been sitting in my relatives collection for many years, I suspect it could do with a clean (even though it isn't dirty and has been well stored). I will grade the records both Very Good+ to be safe, but I reckon most would call one of these discs Excellent as it is so nice! I just wanted to be really strict so people can be happy. Really nice example of the very first release of this seminal double album.
And of course the very first release with the rare misprint too!
