Description
This is the sought after 1998 heavy vinyl audiophile reissue of the 1975 classic Dylan album, pressed in Germany. It has the distinctive orange and white Columbia labels. Matrix numbers A-01-1-1, B-01-1-1. Owned from new and purchased mail order.
CONDITION
I use the Record Collector grading categories and have play graded the vinyl on a Linn LP12. I have been using high end turntables for over 30 years. My records have been stored in a pet free, smoke free home.
Sleeve: Very Good Plus
The sleeve re-creates the original and includes the long essay on the rear in hard to read black print. There is negligible wear to edges and corners and the spine is perfect with all text clear. There are a few scratch marks on the back cover, otherwise I would grade as excellent.
Vinyl: Very Good Plus
The vinyl is clean and shiny with just a few short light scuffs and handling marks. There is very little spindle wear. The audio play back is mostly excellent with no sticking, jumping, repeat clicks or loud crackle. However, there are a few isolated ticks and pops so I have graded as VG+.
POSTAGE AND PACKAGING
The record will be packed in a record mailer with stiffener and posted by Royal Mail 2nd class (UK only). I remove all records from outer and printed inner sleeves before packing to avoid damage to covers during transit. All vinyl is dispatched in polythene sleeves.
I am not a dealer but have been buying records for over 40 years and have decided to let go of some in the interest of ‘downsizing’.
