NEW and SEALED. Bob Dylan Bootleg Series Volume 6 Live at the Philharmonic. 200g 3LP Box Set from Classic Records. FYI: Classic has been bought by another company and lost its licensing to all of its titles. This is effectively out of print. All of its records have gone up in value as they will no longer be produced.
Another in the series of Classic Legacy Bob Dylan bootleg series. This edition was cut by Bernie Grundman from the half-inch analog master tape on Classic’s all-tube cutting system and features a deluxe box housing three LPs - each in unique jackets. It also includes a 60-page, 12 x 12 perfect bound booklet and a 12 x 8 letter-pressed vintage tour poster. 200g LPs. (Not the less-superior 140g edition.)
This Halloween gig at Philharmonic Hall in New York was a special part of the tour for Another Side of Bob Dylan, arguably his greatest acoustic recording. What’s more poignant, however, is how it previews the material on Bringing It All Back Home. While the songs on Another Side hinted at things to come, nothing could have prepared audiences for the dreamy surrealism of "Mr. Tambourine Man" or the nightmarish abstract poetry of "It’s Alright Ma (I’m Only Bleeding)." There are stirring protest and topical songs, folk songs, humorous narratives, love songs, great wisecracks and talking blues.
