Description
An original pressing of Freewheelin' on the UK CBS label from 1969. Matrix A1/B3. The record comes housed in an original cover printed by Ernest J. Day. Also included is the original CBS advertising inner sleeve. So, 100% complete and 100% original.
Vinyl (Ex) Looks in superb condition and shiny like new. This Lp has clearly only seen very light use. Under close inspection we struggled to make out a single mark. Just look at the labels and the spindle hole! A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are really nice and quiet. The audio comes across with excellent clarity and minimal interference. These 60's copies just have a tonal balance which is breath taking. We detected a little light static in a couple of tracks [e.g. Blowin'] and very little else. It really is a nice solid player that really does this early classic maximum justice. I could listen to it all day long.........>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Cover (Ex+) Just amazing to think this LP was manufactured the same year man landed on the moon [maybe I'm going off-script somewhat here!] But it truly is remarkable when something of that age is preserved in this condition - the mind just boggles. Shiny front with barely a crease - it really looks like a mirror! The rear often suffers a lot of ageing and this one only exhibits a very light touch on the extreme right. And that's about it really. The openings are sharp and the spine is perfectly intact. The cover really has a nice newish solid feel to it - like it was made last week. But this most certainly is an original 48 year old record.
Inner (Ex+) Perfectly preserved no rips at all.
