Description
EXTREMELY RARE Promotional pressing of Bob Dylan's "Highway 61 Revisited" sent to radio stations and were not for sale. The few examples of this white label (Promo) pressing have sold for up to $1250.00 in mint condition. This one is in very good condition and will surely only appreciate in value as Dylan's fan base spans multiple generations and he may be considered the Shakespeare of our time.
The album cover has had the front timing strip removed and the glue residue from where the strip adhered is visible, but the cover is definitely the promo cover as it has the "4" in the lower right rear corner. There is a name signed in ink on the rear upper left corner and a small yellow sticker on upper right rear of cover.
The vinyl is still shiny and has only a few light scuff marks. Pops are only audible between tracks and one small pop on side 2, track 4 (Desolation Row); The Record plays beautifully with no skips or audible pops or cracks except as noted. It's still an enjoyable listen in original MONO.
The original inner sleeve is included and has two small tears. It's very cool with advertising from 1965 on it for Mercury Portable Record Players and 1965 period artists.
This is being sold as a duplicate from a personal Dylan Collection and is your opportunity to own not only a piece of history but a collectible that will only increase in value--very few of these white promo copies exist and there will only ever be one Bob Dylan.
