Description
This is an original and extremely rare 16 page 1966 Bob Dylan UK tour programme - the tour that changed music forever......
Its cover is a little grubby but complete. Interior pages in quite good condition. Old masking tape on cover possibly covering tear. A quite superb item for any collector and one of the true Holy Grail items for Dylan collectors. It is A4 sized (20cm x 26cm) and pin holes in top corners. Black and white throughout - Some writing within - the "Programme" page, which was deliberately left blank with concertgoers urged to fill it in,has been neatly completed (seemingly erroneously). In his excellent book "Like the Night" CP Lee states that the tour setlist didn't change on the 66 tour, and yet there are songs written in that were either not played on that tour - "Pledging my Time" being one, lor "Leopardskin Pillbox Cap" which were obviouls mishearings of Bob's mumbled introductiosn. Blonde on Blonde was not to be released for some time yet. On the "Tito Burns presents Dylan 66" page, complete with printed tour venues is an autograph in red ink - Looks like "MW Palsford" - One of the road crew,or the lucky concertgoer?
Contains extensive essay on Dylan by Robert Shelton reprinted from "Cavalier" magazine July 1965.
Booklet was prepared by Kenneth Pitt Ltd, Hastings Printing Company, St Leonards on Sea.
Imagine, someone had this in their hand while Dylan and the Band rocked out on the legendary 1966 UK tour....
