Fontana - TFE.18011 (1964)
In the 1960s US Vanguard records were released in the UK on the Fontana label (part of the Philips group, later PolyGram,
now Universal). Several songs from The Newport Folk Festival 1963 were released on three EPs which were extracted
from live LPs. However, the three EPs were quickly withdrawn from sale because of legal problems with CBS Records
(the then trading name of Columbia in the UK) who had licensed Bob Dylan's appearances on the LPs only.
The record is in excellent condition with barely a mark visible with the naked eye. It could only have been played a couple of times. I've played it through and it sounds superb. Both labels are also in superb condition. The picture sleeve is in excellent condition with just very, very minor blemishes and light tanning to the right hand side (see picture).
