Description

Selling-up my extensive record collection. Lots of interesting records in the collection - do have a look at my other items, and there are new listings every week. I may have obscure things that you didn't even know you wanted!

Here's a good copy of the first of the CBS official "Bootleg Series", across 5 vinyl LPs. This is the European version, and is from 1991. I got this second-hand, probably in the 1990s.

Pictures are my own photos of the items for sale. Photos are part of the description, have a good look.

Box etc - box is in very nice condition - front may have yellowed a bit with age. Booklet is very good - has a couple of little stains on front cover, marks like foxing on the back, just fine inside. Records have been taken out of the original custom inners (which have song titles and a photo on each), and the inners are not split or damaged, just lightest creasing.

Records - various small flaws, very little that's going to be audible. Specifically - Sides 4, 6 and 8 don't have any kind of damage, that I can see. Side one has a scratch, on track one going into track 2 - stylus has then bounced and landed in track 4 leaving a light scratch at the start of that track. on side two, I see a light fingernail type mark going from end of track one over to the start of track 3, and a light scratch on track 6. On side 3, there's a scratch across the dead wax, just going into the end of the last track. On side 5, a tiny lightest-kind-of scratch on track 3. On side 7, a light fingernail mark on track 3. On side 9, a flat impact - like a bruise! - with a short light scratch in it, on track 1. Side 10 has a scratchy area on track 1.

These go for up to £100 in top condition - my price makes generous allowance for the condition of my particular copy.


When I'm checking for damage on records, I look at them carefully with my reading glasses on, in good daylight. This method detects any bits of damage that will affect what you hear when listening to it - and lots that are not audible. Using a spotlight or direct sunlight shows more surfacey marks sometimes, but I don't do that - records are for listening to, not trying to see your face in.

Postage at cost within UK - £3.00 plus 50p for a proper record mailer with two stiffener sheets of cardboard, or whatever's necessary.

Dispatch will usually be "next day".

Collection in person is welcome.


I don't mail things personally, to countries outside the UK - ( I mean it, don't ask) - but I am happy to use E-Bay UK's Global Shipping Program, for sending things abroad. Under this scheme, I send the parcel to an e-bay depot in UK, and they forward it to the overseas buyer.

They have a tracked courier service, for the journey from their UK depot, to the buyer.

This means that I can ONLY accept payments through e-bay (Pay Now button), and I can't send invoices.

E-Bay UK tells me, they do NOT do combined postage in the Global Shipping Programme. Charges to the customer for delivery and customs charges are whatever you're told they are - if you don't want to pay the postal / courier charges individually for the items, then do not bid.

Overseas customers - please DON'T request an invoice - there is no combined postage, I can't make one, and it screws-up the e-bay system.

International buyers should be able to see a postage cost to their country, you may have to input your location, if your country is included in the scheme.

If your country is not mentioned, please do not bid.
