Bob Dylan's The Complete Budokan 1978 is a box set that captures the full performances from his concerts at Nippon Budokan in Tokyo on February 28 and March 1, 1978. Released on November 17, 2023, it is available in a four-CD set, an eight-LP set (Japan-exclusive), and digital formats.
This collection features newly remixed and remastered audio sourced from the original 24-channel analog tapes. It includes a total of 58 tracks, with 36 previously unreleased songs.
The deluxe eight-LP box set comes with a 60-page color book featuring rare photos and extensive liner notes, a Japanese booklet, lyrics with English-Japanese translations, and replicas of items from Dylan’s 1978 Far East Tour, such as the tour program, tickets, posters, and flyers.
This release commemorates the 45th anniversary of Dylan’s 1978 world tour and his first-ever performances in Japan, making it a valuable collector’s item for fans.
