Up for auction is an original UK mono pressing of Bob Dylan’s seminal second studio album, The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan, released on CBS in 1963. Sleeve (VG-)
Front/Back: An original front-laminated flipback sleeve. The front cover retains a decent gloss but shows some edge creasing, age toning, and minor laminate lifting/wear along the spine and edges.
Reverse: The unlaminated rear jacket displays typical age discoloration, ring wear, and some light staining/handling marks consistent with an authentic 1963 sleeve. Note that this features the standard 1963 shared layout with the small "*Stereo" footnote at the bottom left, though the sleeve is explicitly designated for the mono release via the BPG 62193 catalog number on the top right.
Edges/Spine: Features the original structured flipbacks on the top and bottom. There is minor wear to the corners and spine, but the structural integrity is fully intact.
Vinyl (VG / VG+)
Visual: The vinyl retains a beautiful original sheen. Under strong light, some light surface hairlines and paper scuffs are visible, but there are no deep feelable scratches.
Labels: The iconic textured orange CBS labels are clean with bright color. There are minor spindle marks around the center holes and light aging, but no unwanted handwriting or tears. "MADE IN ENGLAND" and "℗ 1963" are clearly stamped.
Inner Sleeve:
Includes an original British patent UK inner sleeve featuring "Handling" and "Playing" instructions. The sleeve is functional but shows significant creasing, ring wear, and natural yellowing from age.
