Description

This is the Recording BPG 62193 (CL 1986) of Bob Dylan’s ‘The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan’. I think it is a 1963 1st U.K. Pressing and it is in Excellent condition. The Matrix are stamped Side one 62193-4A-1 and further round the run off is a stamped A. Side two has a very narrow run off with stamped 62193-4B-1.  It has an uncredited laminated flipback sleeve which is in excellent condition. Sadly my brother has written his name (neatly) on the top left hand corner of the reverse. The corners are perfect and two are a little bumped. The spine is perfect and the writing intact and clear. There is a very faint ring mark at the top of the front cover only. There are a few film wrinkles along the bottom edge and near the opening. The reverse is great only discolouration due to age and one small stain. The flip backs are all good, well stuck and no lifting. The original inner sleeve is CBS with a starburst name print one side and lists the other. It is near mint.  The vinyl is bright and shiny and it plays perfectly without clicks or jumps or slurs but it does need cleaning as apart from the one time it has been played by me, to check for damage, it has been stored since 1990. There are a few very small hairline surface scratches and scuffs but I would say that the vinyl is in excellent/near mint condition. The orange boxed CBS rough labels are perfect. Just a few light spindle marks you can see in the light.  Please look at the photos I have taken of this very desirable LP.
