I am selling some duplicate LPs from my collection. Here is one of the “Holy Grails” in vinyl collecting. And please check my other auctions for items that may be of interest to you.

IN THIS AUCTION: 

·       “BLONDE On BLONDE” by Bob Dylan  

·       This LP is Columbia Records C2L 41.

·       This is a double vinyl LP in a gatefold cover.

·       It is a MONO (Monaural) LP.

·       This LP was released in 1966.

·       The LP in this auction is the VERY RARE WHITE LABEL PROMOTIONAL MONAURAL PRESSING.

·       As you may know, PROMOTIONAL RECORDS were only released by record companies to the radio stations and DJs for airplay or to music stores/departments and were NOT made available to the general public. 

·       The LP has great cuts on it including “Rainy Day Women #12 & 35”, “I Want You”, “Memphis Blues Again”, and “Just Like A Woman”.

·       The ORIGINAL COVER in this auction has the photos of “girls” inside the gatefold. The “girl” image is of Italian actress Claudia Cardinale. Most likely Columbia Records had not paid for the rights to use her image. As a result, the “girl” images were removed from subsequent covers of this LP.

·        The GATEFOLD COVER is in NICE VG CONDITION.  The cover has overall wear. There is a hint of light ring wear on the front cover above Dylan’s head, on left and right and on his coat. There is wear on the spine evident in the image of the front cover opened completely. There is moderate edge wear (more on the bottom edge than top edge), corner wear on all corners and a small push on one corner. There are NO seam splits.

·       This DOUBLE PROMO LP has 2 timing strips on the cover. The top timing strip is complete, though it has a 1-inch tear between the words “Records” and “Radio” and a few minor tears along the top on the right side. This top timing strip has a few (3-4) diagonal creases on the right side where the adhesive gum was not moistened well, so it was not adhered to the cover.

The lower timing strip is torn in half with the right side missing.  Most likely the right half of the lower timing strip also was not moistened and was not adhered well to the cover (like the right portion of the top timing strip) and, at some time in the past, was torn off causing no damage to the cover. The upper portion of the left side of this timing strip is also not adhered to the cover. The reflections in the image of the glossy timing strips is due to the fact that the timing strips in those areas are not glued down/not flat.

·       NOTE: I have made copies of the complete timing strips from my other copy of this LP. I made 4 copies of the 2 complete timing strips on glossy paper (similar paper to the actual timing strip paper). Please refer to an image of the copy. I will ship these 4 copies with the LP to fully or partially replace the damaged timing strip if desired by the high bidder.         

·       The VINYL is in VERY STRONG VG to VG+ CONDITION with LOTS OF GLOSS. There are some hairlines/scuffs on all 4 sides. The WHITE PROMO LABELS are nice: white & clean.   

·       This is a GREAT VERY RARE HARD-TO-FIND BOB DYLAN WHITE LABEL MONO PROMO LP. It’s definitely a “Must Have!” for any vintage vinyl collection.
