This is the one and only Vinyl release by Platinum records in Germany(1985) of the 1961-2 Gaslight tapes, recorded over a number of live sessions at the gaslight in Greenwich Village, New York, if you enjoy early acoustic Dylan then this is a must have box set showing him at a stage in his career very shortly before the recording of his first LP "Bob Dylan" includes an early strummed version of "Dont think twice" and an excellent early version of "Ballad of Hollis Brown"  and "Song to Woody





 The Records Look EX and play all sides in EX Condition
stunning condition vinyl considering the 3 records are 28 years old, nice shiny vinyl..........rarely played pretty much mark free




The Box is in VG+ to EX condition overall
The Top and Bottom half's of the box are in really great shape, the top has had some work done on the corners, at some point they have been rebuilt where the seams have split, but it has been done really well so all the corners are as solid as they were originally, and the paper used to rebuild the corner splits has been painted black inside and out to match the surrounding box, its really not that noticeable at all the corners are really solid
the box itself is in really excellent condition with no splitting,marks or paint rubbing just showing the odd light signs of age related wear

The labels on all three records are clean and in EX condition

A word about myself

I am a record collector specializing in 1960’s and 70’s. Rock, psychedelia,Folk Rock, Avante garde, and krautRock.

My Hifi consists of A Linn Axis turntable fitted with a Linn Basik plus tone arm  with an Ortofon 520mk 11 cartridge, I listen to my records through a pair of Rogers LS7’s.

I listen to all the records I sell on this setup, and most records I sell are from my own collection, I wouldn’t sell anything that I wouldn’t be happy to own my self or play on my Hifi, I don’t own or sell crackly or knackered records, I am aware the Audiophile quality stylus are very expensive and no one wants to chip a stylus by playing knackered records.

I Use the Record Collector Magazine's Grading Guide:

Please note I will use + and – to denote grades in-between the ones mentioned below.

I grade the cover,labels and record separately

"MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

 Please note: I only use quality record mailers with two cardboard inserts

Postage in the UK is £2.50 for the first single record, in Europe is £4.50 for the first record, Rest of World is £7.00 for first record. Any more LP"s purchased are an extra 1.50 pounds each to anywhere. these postage costs apply apart from in the case where the record needs to be insured for the full value
