Description
Souvenir record album of Bob Hope's tour of the Pacific Theater during the Korean War, 1950. This album of three 12" 78 rpm records was probably commissioned by Hope and given to participants at the end of the tour (the interior of the album is filled with in-jokes and cartoons that would only make sense to someone who was there). The custom labels have the title "Our Pacific Tour," with Hope's caricature, and his tag line "Thanks for the memory." The records contain the complete final broadcast of the tour, broadcast from Elmendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage, Alaska. The old time radio show includes the original Chesterfield advertisements.
The album is VG, with little wear but with some silverfish damage on the interior. The records are also VG, with no visible wear or scratches, and lots of luster. These will be sent media mail to save on postage costs, but other services are available on request!
