Bob Marley & The Wailers: Kaya LP (Original UK 1978 Pressing)
Original Island blue label first pressing purchased by me when it was released 41 years ago. It has been well looked after as part of my personal record collection ever since. Its still in really good condition for a 41 year old record with no seam splits to the sleeves and still with a sharp readable spine with only mild creasing from handling wear. Please take the time to scroll through all the photos to get a clear idea of the good condition of the LP.
The vinyl itself is in great condition with only a few non feelable marks only noticeable when scrutinised under a very bright LED light. I have just wet cleaned it in my professional record cleaning machine with the award winning L'art du Son cleaning fluid so it is now in the best possible condition for the next owner to enjoy. I have test played both sides all the way through on my Project Debut Carbon turntable fitted with an Ortefon 2M Blue stylus and it sounds excellent. The record sits perfectly flat on the deck and plays through beautifully with barely any surface noise only really noticeable on the run ins or quieter sections, but that occasional warm crackle is exactly why we love the sound of vinyl. A truly dynamic and analogue sound that is far better than the recent reissues that were all pressed from remastered digital files. Original vinyl is the way reggae should definitely be be heard and the odd light crackle just adds to the enjoyment of the pure analogue sound.
