NOW READ THE STORY OF THIS DUBPLATE. I got (quite a long time ago now) an exclusive, original and never copied Upsetter 10" dubplate from late 1976 / early 1977, with four tracks as Soul Rebel Dub, Lama Lava Dub, Police & Thief Dub, Keep on Moving Special. All had totally original mixes, never released in any other form, anywhere, so it is totally exclusive. Now this dubplate was starting to destroy itself as wax started to get off the metal part, which would cause an irremediate damage. In fact the police & thieves dub and keep on moving were already almost unplayable, so that music is definetly lost. Still I decided to transfer the two "savable" tunes, Soul rebel and Lama lava to a next acetate in England, which was completed by a short demo extract of Marley's "Give thanks and praise" + what was then unreleased, i.e. Marley "I know a place" + its Upsetters dub - these two last mixes are different from what was far later released, they were only hardly available as collectors tape which exchanged hands as a friend-to-friend affair, no joker.
So this acetate is Mint (it it my personal copy and I do care for my records) but you can hear the crackles of the first one. NO OTHER COPY WAS MADE, AND NONE WILL BE !!! (except if the seller decide to do so, of course.)
SOUL REBELS DUB is totally amazing and mash every mix I ever heard : this is the original recording from Bunny & Tosh days (1970), but this dub was remixed at the Black Ark with the typical reverbs from that time (1977).
LAMA LAVA DUB is a wicked remix of this Augustus Pablo's tune done at the Ark, with a false start and the melodica sometimes mixed thru a phaser, sometimes not, exactly like Scratch did with the "Silent satta" 12"45rpm remix edited on a Rockers disco that same year. In fact both tunes were certainly recorded and re-mixed at the same time - same session.

Postage is as a 12" record (it is actually a 10" but metal + wax get more weight than a plastic piece)
