Description

The Wailers - Catch A Fire

(Island ILPS 9241 UK LP 1973)

 

This is an early UK LP pressing circa 1974. It has a hinged, top opening, "Zippo" style sleeve. Printed by "Robor Ltd". It has a pale blue, polythene-lined, "Island" inner sleeve which is in VG+ condition.

The record has "palm tree" Island labels & has 1st Press A4/ B5 matrix stampers.

An early UK pressing which still comes with a 1st press Zippo style sleeve. These are not that common.

 

Sleeve: Unfortunately the top opening part of the sleeve has come away from the hinge. There is some wear around the hinge on both parts also. There is some mild to moderate rubbing wear, in places, to the edges. Good+ condition.

Vinyl: Light to mild sleeve rubs can be seen under a strong light. VG+ condition. The labels are nice and clean & show mild spindle wear. Plays VG to VG+ overall. There is some light to mild crackle in some quieter places.

 

Grading adheres to “Record Collector” specifications. I shall use good quality packaging (proper vinyl mailers & two card dividers).

Postage for 1 LP in the UK is £4.50. You can add one extra LP for free (up to the weight of 1kg).

Postage for 1 LP in Europe is £6.65 to £7.85 (depending on weight). Add £1.25 for each additional LP up to 2kg.

Postage for 1 LP for the rest of the world is £8.75 to £11.50 (depending on weight). Add £2 for each additional LP up to 2kg.

 

Insurance is necessary if this item exceeds £20. Overseas buyers will add £5.50 extra (plus an additional £2.50 if the item value exceeds £70).
