Description
Hello there and welcome to my auction. Please read my descriptions carefully before you bid. Please make sure you read everything especially the condition of each vinyl. The grading and criteria are below.
This is an auction for: The Wailers – Catch a fire – RARE Vinyl LP album 1973.
NO OFFERS PLEASE. Price is the minimum I will accept.
Early Pressing on the Pink Rim Island label.
Fully working Zippo Lighter Sleeve.
- Matrix / Runout (Side A, stamped, crossed out): BML 2001 A-3U
- Matrix / Runout (Side B, stamped, crossed out): BML 2001 B-4U
The back of the sleeve does NOT have the address, indicating that this was pressed after Island moved to St Peters Square.
Vinyl Condition: VG/EX (Lovely condition. The odd very light sleeve line but really is in lovely condition. Nice clean shine to the record and plays very well. Only the lightest of crakle in places but nothing much at alll. Really is a pleasure to listen to. No sticks or jumps).
Inner Sleeve Condition: G/VG (Original blue Island inner sleeve has the usual folds and creases to the corners but is not split and is in good condition for its age. Underneath the "i" logo it has the "22 st Peters Square London w69nw" indicating that this was pressed after Island moved to St Peters Square).
Outer Sleeve Condition: VG (Fully working Zippo Lighter sleeve is very good for its age. There is some egde and corner wear & creasing but nothing major. There is some creasing around the hinge ring on both sides but it remains strong and the sleeve opens and closes very nicely. Some creases but overall the sleeve really is very nice. The back of the sleeve does NOT have the address, indicating that this was pressed after Island moved to St Peters Square).
I grade my records as follows:
M = Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Unplayed and sealed records are referred to as Mint.
Ex = Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have minimal wear and/or creasing.
VG = Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects.
G = Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
Fair = The record shows signs of extensive play and may have many marks and deep scratches but will still play ok but with significantly lower sound quality. Artwork will be rather worn with possible splits, small rips, scrapes, dents, or maybe water damage.
