Description

An original 1st press of Exodus on UK Island. Matrix A2/B. Stamped 'Sterling'. This is the VERY earliest label design for this title which was pressed in early 1977. The vinyl comes housed in an original cover with embossing. We also have the original inner too. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of slightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback with two minor deviations. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Little to find fault with. A few minor crackles in Lights Down [no big deal]. A few slight crackles as 'Mystic' rolls in - goes clean quick. Deep rolling bass - boom! Plays superb overall. This is Marley at the top of his game and should be in everyone's collection - regardless.
Cover (Vg+) This is the original 1st issue with embossed text and iconography. Nice clean front without much of the usual wear you typically find. A touch of slight handing on the rear. A bit of edge wear in places - nothing epic. Spine is the slight let down. Bit of wear observable rendering text only 50% legible. The cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) Slight fingerprint grubbiness as is difficult to avoid. No splits.
