Description
An original late 1st issue of LYCEUM Live! on Island - from spring '76 [a couple of months after 1st release]. Matrix A3/B4 . Etching 'Jonz'. The vinyl comes housed in an original cover WITHOUT BARCODE. We have a black Island advertising inner from the mid-70's too.
Vinyl (Ex) In superb condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT with a couple of slight deviations. A cracker of a copy. If you want to witness MARLEY at the top of his game and live...this would be the place to start. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across excellent clarity. It's a near perfect player. Just a couple of crackles in a couple of spots per side. A couple of solitary ticks either side. Clean signalled. Instrumentation is perfectly resolved. Lovin' it! Highly recommended.
Cover (Vg+) A lot of these original examples are gonna be wrecked by this point in time. But this original example is looking pretty tidy. Clean and flat surfaces. Nothing more than slightest handling and a couple of minor creases. A bit of edge wear in the odd spot and sharp openings. Text on the spine is mostly legible with some light wear - rendering 'Marley' only partially legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) No splits. Slight wear in places.
