You're bidding on one of the most important albums of all time! Up for auction is an ALL ORIGINAL Bob Marley and the Wailers 1973 release of 'Catch a Fire', in the Zippo album format! So much has already been written about this album, i'm not going to rehash all of it, but I've listed the DISCOGS info on the album so you can have a look.
I purchased this album several years ago on Ebay, and as I have 2, I've decided to let one go. You can easily tell if a Zippo album is real or not, because the real versions did NOT have a UPC (was prior to UPCs)! I bought this album from Soundcitybeaches, and it's been in storage ever since purchased.
Condition wise for the age, is in pretty good shape! It still has the original rivet that held both parts of the album together, however it's no longer attached (cover is in two pieces). This is EXTREMELY common, due to the cardboard cover and the way they were manufactured. No one had ANY idea how big this album would be, as it was before Reggae even existed as a music! I've never had it graded, so am hesitant to give my personal opinion (i'm not an expert), but I paid over 300 for it years ago...score an awesome deal!!! I've started bidding 100 dollars less with no reserve!!!
I'm selling it for less as it IS my 2nd, so I hope it ends up in a good home. Also, there are many different versions of the zippo album, and this is the one that was made in the US market for sale (a VERY early pressing as you can see below from Discogs). If you're a Marley fan and DON'T have this album yet, you definitely need it! Also, I included a pic of the original auction paperwork so you can see what Soundcity said about it!

The first 20,000 copies released were encased in this Zippo lighter die-cut sleeve. The sleeve opened like a lighter case with a side hinge.
