ORIGINAL UK LP on MORGAN BLUE TOWN RECORDS BT 5003 from 1970
A FANTASTICALLY RARE and VERY interesting psych record here - in its' ORIGINAL glory!!
You just never see a copy, and although it is known to have been bootlegged too, there have of course been repressings
of this legendary LP since.
However - there's nothing like the real thing, and so it's special to present one .....in STARTLINGLY BRILLIANT CONDITION!
First though, I'll explain WHY this much talked-about disc is so highly sought;
Musically it defies many of the expected lines that commercial issues fall between, and even for psychedelic rock, this is 'out there'.
Dissonant guitar embellishes melodic lines of main rhythms, which are in themselves unexpected and fascinating - imaginative and somehow 'elusively cativating'! The Tapestry of Delights describes "spooky psychedelia", "a slightly unsettling atmosphere", and "downright chilling" - foreshadowing Joy Division! I'd say that's not a bad assessment, though I don't think anyone could easily put a finger on this to give a good-enough description to fully
review or prepare for what is better heard. In many ways this is MORE psychedelic than say Pink Floyd, for defying easy categorization.
Thus, it does take several listening to get acquainted and familiar enough with, to become easier to get into.
A totally unique piece of music!
Wil Malone's solo LP is one of the more expensive British records, but I have heard word that his reputation is still mostly founded from this record.
For anyone wanting to represent the best music that British psychedelia had to offer, this is surely indispensable.
GREAT to find in this excellent shape, too!
CONDITION;
The single-sleeve TEXTURED, FLIP-BACK card COVER is NM-, having light wear only - and shows very little aging. An AMAZING example!
The VINYL grades NEAR MINT- , with FULL shine, plays WONDERFULLY - also BRILLIANT shape!
The lables are NM unmarked!
