We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 18,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Original 1966 first pressing of a great sunny-sound California garage band... a cool teen beach-party garage band, sounds like
Surprisingly this is not a Curt Boettcher production, as it has his early West Coast pop~rock imprint, yet echoes a more garagey California teen sound at times, but also follows The Millennium, and at times The Free Design. - This reviewer in a birds-eye view, 1966 Santa Monica attended "Where The Action Is" spin-off "The Groovy Game" where the YELLOW BALLOON were being recorded for the weekly TV show on the beach among go-go girls and beach-party atmosphere.
Some of it does sound like what the Beach Boys would have had if they kept a bit more of the surf sound in their later music. Their are plenty of choice catchy tracks, and the band stays on the path of the sunshine garage teen sounds of the sixties. The album is strong enough to warrent collectors all over the universe to scramble for an original copy... They're hard to come by, The label "Canturbury" was small and not widely distributed....
The Yellow Balloon was Don Grady's ('Robbie' on TV's " My Three Sons") rock & roll group, but even more important, the brainchild of California producer Gary Zekley. Not unlike a Gary Usher, Zekley could grab a bunch of musicians and -- filling in the needed holes with his own talent -- produce sessions that rivaled Phil Spector or Brian Wilson for big sound and teen spirit. Grady had already been recording for the same label with his own group, the Windupwatch Band, when Zekley started climbing the charts with "Yellow Balloon," creating a need for a new group to go with the hit. Grady became the drummer and other members were recruited from various garage bands.

Special collection copy, harder to find THIS clean than you may think ....strong colors, no fade no bends no split seams, no writing ...flat & square 4 sharp corners...but of the outer cellophane missing at top right corner where the price sticker was removed, just traces of sticker removal and otherwise MINT ~~~ Very clean '66 original!
- The vinyl: Rated: is solid MINT very clean and play graded flawless, having two clean Canterbury labels ... was the record even ever played (??) ~~ all in all a winning California '66 authentic first press collectible.
