Karl Bohm & The Berlin - Strauss ALSO SPRACH ZARATHUSTRA - DGG 136001 (German Pressing) - Superb! - Factory Sealed
For the longest time, this was the sonic standard played at audio trade shows here in the States. It was hailed by many hi-fi mags as the reading and recording to own, and awarded the GRAND PRIX DU DISQUE the year of its release.
Bohm's precision makes of the tone poem a gem, to be sure, and the violin solo of Schwalbe is outstanding. To be reckoned with, this one. Of demonstration quality without a doubt.
