Description
T Rex 45: London Boys / Solid Baby
Original pressing on the Japanese EMI/Odeon label: EMR-10951 (YMARC-13A)
Matrix Numbers: YMARC-13-A-1S and YMARC-13-B-1S
Condition: The one page picture sleeve has a few condition issues, probably associated with being a radio station copy. On the front there are two stickers on the right side: the top is a reference number and the bottom is in Japanese. Also it has what looks like a date written across Marc's chin but I got this last century so doubt it. Finally it has two tears at the top each about an inch long plus some minor creasing from handling. The vinyl looks unplayed but the label has minor brown foxing that is caused by climate and I have seen this on most Japanese releases that did not leave the country immediately on release.
This record was released on 20th April 1976 and is already rare as a stock copy. Only a handful were promotional copies like this and so the chances of finding another is pretty slim. It has a low start because of the condition of the sleeve but the "damage" was acquired during the course of being used to promote the single and not by a careless fan.
I am selling items from my personal collection formed over 40 years. I am not a dealer so I know the history of these records, many of which I bought new at the time of release and have carefully stored (mostly in plastic sleeves). I have never cleaned my records apart from the the odd use of a record brush or cloth so they are in very original condition. If you have any questions please email me.
