Overall Description
So here we have one of the rarest Bonzo Dog Bands records out there!!
It is a first pressing of the Gorilla record, on the blue UK Liberty label.
An ORIGINAL 1967 *UK MONO 1st PRESSING* on the BLUE LIBERTY RECORD LABEL with the earliest A?1, B?1 Matrix Numbers and a stunning 1st issue MacNeill Press Sleeve.
To find a true first pressing of this record is a rarity in itself, but this whole package is in tip top condition! I would hasten that the record has only seen one play at most and the sleeve is almost in museum quality!
This is a once in a lifetime record that any audiophile would be proud to have in their collection.

Outer Sleeve
The fully laminated MacNeill Ltd outer sleeve is in near perfect condition, and you wouldn t believe it is nearly 50 years old as it looks near new! There is NO writing on the sleeve, No rips or tears, No stains. All the edges are still sharp and straight. The spine is perfectly in shape and all text as eligible as on day one! Final Upgrade!

The iconic blue Liberty labels are in perfect condition condition, with no rips, tears or stains at all!! Under a strong halogen bulb, you cant even see 1 spindle mark! Simply Perfect!

Vinyl Visual
By the naked eye there are no scratches to be seen at all. The record looks great, it really does. It still retains its wonderful factory pressed shine and lustre. Under a strong halogen bulb, only the occasional wisp of a removal mark can be seen on side 2, but none that can be felt and none that have any effect on playback at all. Side 1 is stone mint and as new! It really is an astounding looking vinyl, that won’t disappoint The record is heavy and thick just like they used to make em!

I listened to the record all the way through, and it sounds superb! There are no jumps or skips or sticking of any sort. It plays through sublimely!! I heard only the mildest of static between tracks on full volume and my player picks up the mildest of pops and clicks. It’s such a strong clear audio, really punchy and sharp. You really can hear the difference between a later pressing and these 1st pressings. This is clearly the way to listen to the the music of the 60s, in its purest form!! All the dynamics of the band are sharp and separable with no distortion on the heavier parts!! Utterly Superb!

So there we have it, one of the rarest Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band records available, in near perfect condition throughout!
