Witty, entertaining, insightful, acute, gossipy autobiography of the American composer of the early 20th century which is both a gem and an absolute hoot of a read. Featuring, among many others, Stravinsky, Stokowski, Joyce, Hemingway, Ezra Pound, Hedy Lamarr, Ben Hecht and Groucho Marx, some of it may even be true! 
Clean text, reasonably bright for its age, especially for the quality of paper - previous owner's details to fep - binding sound - shelfwear to covers with gilt decoration and titles to spine dulled somewhat - see photos.
